I am a mental health therapy intern at YEG Family Counselling with over a decade of experience in addiction counselling.

I work with individuals, couples, and families from all walks of life, with a special interest in supporting queer and neurospicy (neurodivergent) folks as they discover authenticity, strengthen relationships, and create lives that feel true to who they are, even when facing challenges.

Whether we meet virtually or in person, I focus on creating a space where you feel safe, seen, and respected, knowing the therapeutic relationship is at the heart of meaningful change. My style is flexible and adapts to what you need. Sometimes we’ll work collaboratively, and other times I’ll offer more direct guidance and practical support. I believe vulnerability is a powerful tool for connection, and together we’ll explore ways it can support your relationship with yourself and the people who matter most.

Much of my experience has been in supporting men struggling with their mental health and with people who have been subjected to acts of sexual violence. I also enjoy providing relationship counselling to couples, including people who engage in all forms ethical non-monogamy. I find it really rewarding to work with people who are trying to process shame and learn how to take accountability for when they have harmed other people.

I’m a queer, relational, experiential Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC), which means I can assess and treat mental health conditions, and provide individual or group therapy to anyone in Canada. I work from an attachment lens, meaning we’ll explore relationships on personal, familial, cultural and societal levels.

I work with individuals (11+), couples, polycules, families, and any other relational structure, including consensually non-monogamous relationship constellations. I especially love working with queer and neurodivergent folks and any other marginalized identities.

Working holistically, I incorporate somatic (body-based) interventions so that we can process emotions and trauma that may not be accessible through talking. My style is strength-based, collaborative, and warm, with sprinkles of humour. Sometimes we’ll talk, others we’ll breathe, shake or engage in expressive arts.

I have 20 years of experience as a front line medical Social Worker. As a Social Worker, I’m grounded in The Ecological Model. This means that, in our work together, we’ll be talking not only about what’s going on for you, but also how things like your environment, your family, your community, and your own personal history might play into both challenges and strengths. Woven into this are the stories that we tell about ourselves, as well as the stories that are told about us. I tend to be less formal in my approach, with focus on building a trusting relationship.

I love working with parents and families and supporting them as they navigate the challenges and complexities of life.
